The Aroma Freedom Technique was founded and developed by clinical psychologist Dr. Benjamin Perkus.  Often, after psychological sessions were completed with individuals, many people still felt 'stuck' or unable to fully let go of emotional responses to certain situations or events.  Some habits that were present in daily life could not be shifted unless using the AFT process to release these thoughts and feelings.  


AFT uses the power of scent to gently shift awareness away from negative thoughts, feelings, and memories.  This process initiates a positive outlook and attitude as well as results in greater confidence and inner freedom.  


Why Release Past Memories?

The most commonly asked questions about AFT revolve around the memory release process.  Everyone asks Karin, "What would my memories from the past have to do with what is happening right now in my life?".  The broad answer to this is that memories in our past often 'hang on' during our next life experiences.  This can lead to feelings of 'being stuck' or 'in a loop'.
